‘Na Aksa Gyilak’yoo School Totem Pole Raising happening today at 2:00pm outside the new school grounds.

The totem pole was carved by Michael Dangeli to commemorate the late Mildred Roberts’ campaign to revitalize our Sm’algyax language and have Sm’algyax language on the ‘Na Aksa Gyilak’yoo School curriculum.

The totem pole will be celebrated and honored at a later date at the grand opening of the new ‘Na Aksa Gyilak’yoo School
